Google unveils VEO 2 to rival OpenAI's Sora and all the AI Video tools
Santa’s biggest gift this season is another AI-powered video generator.
Google launched Veo 2, its new tool on the VideoFX platform. While not fully open to the public, it promises to deliver more realistic videos with a better understanding of physics and human movement.

Google claims Veo 2 can understand real-world physics. This is something of a holy grail for AI video models and an area even the best struggle with, including Sora from OpenAI.
Veo 2 is now exclusively available in Google’s experimental video creation tool, VideoFX, where it is behind a waitlist, but they say it’s expanding the number of users who can access it on a weekly basis. You can apply to the waitlist here.

Imagen 3 Upgrade: Creates more vibrant, detailed images with better colors and textures. It can handle everything from photorealism to abstract art.
Whisk Experimental Tool: Lets you generate AI images by uploading pictures instead of text. You can also mix and match images to create unique themes and scenes.
